Senior Portraits from Spring

Still trying to catch up a bit by re-posting images from my old blog. This is MacKenzie, and she came from Marble Falls for her senior portraits. Taken last spring, I love the golden light and pretty flowers everywhere. Spring is the most popular time for senior photos (fall is the second most popular time), so if you’re hoping to schedule a spring photoshoot, now would actually be a great time to make sure you get the date you want.

Use the contact form to inquire about scheduling your session – this fall or next spring!

These are stunning Amber! I adore the ones second from the bottom, beautiful!!!!!!!!!

Shopping for Senior Portraits

So many times girls ask me “what should I wear?!” Wear what you’re comfortable in, what makes you happy, your favorite outfits. Beyond that, layering is awesome – think belts, scarves, cardigans, etc. Colors are my favorite – the more the better (if you’re into color), and texture is great too. I adore boots, especially in field/nature settings, and they’re great for keeping your legs from being itchy too. One of my all time favorite places to shop is Anthropologie:

A really cool, less expensive on-line store that reminds me a lot of Anthro is Ruche:

The accessories and styling of the Ruche outfits is awesome – love the belt, the fun colors, the jackets and scarves. This type of outfit is perfect for fall!

Downtown Color

If you’re anything like me, you love color. I have to restrain myself when decorating so it doesn’t look like a rainbow threw up in my house, but I can’t seem to get enough bright, fun, colors. And in this senior session, they’re everywhere. I love it!! These photos of beautiful Catherine (and her lil’ sis) were taken in east downtown Austin.

She’s gorgeous and her colors pop! Great work!

Golden Hour

All of my sessions are scheduled about an hour and a half before sunset, and this is why: you get gorgeous, golden light. It’s my absolute favorite. These next photos are some of my all time favorite senior portraits I’ve taken, and I took them when I first started my senior portrait business a couple of years ago.
